About Me

My name is Erica and I'm so glad to meet you! I started my journey in animals as a kid in the 90s - scouring breed books and riding horses in dressage and 3 day eventing for most of my teenage years. I took that passion into Colorado State University in my late 20s and graduated with a degree in Equine sciences. During the covid pandemic I decided to become a dog groomer and graduated in 2020 from Dogs Own Grooming School. I am a continual learner and always researching breed history and pedigrees.

I got into dog sports with my standard poodle Atlas back in 2017 and enjoyed FCAT, trick dog, rally, and dock diving with him. I love poodles but decided I wanted a breed that was similar in many ways but more outgoing with strangers. I came across Lowchen and was hooked. I got my boy Ruvaak in 2020 and he is everything I could have dreamed for. My foundation bitch, Ciri, came to me in 2022 and my first litter was in 2024 with the" Year of the Dragon" litter. I'm so thankful for the knowledge, trust, and help my mentor Alexia Rodriguez has given me - I couldn't do this without you! My significant other Nick has also been an outstanding help and passionate educator on the breed. Together we've enjoyed bringing more of a lowchen presence to Colorado and hope to continue to build the breed here for many years to come.
